“And it shall be called the New Jerusalem”

One thing that this 4th of July has made abundantly clear to me is that there are still great numbers of good, God-fearing, hard-working, patriotic folks in American. It still has a core of goodness and I believe that following the cleansing, these people, seeking refuge, will gravitate to the church and be a part of the gathering of Israel. Of these events, D&C 45 states:

66 And it shall be called the New Jerusalem, a land of peace, a city of refuge, a place of safety for the saints of the Most High God;

67 And the glory of the Lord shall be there, and the terror of the Lord also shall be there, insomuch that the wicked will not come unto it, and it shall be called Zion.

68 And it shall come to pass among the wicked, that every man that will not take his sword against his neighbor must needs flee unto Zion for safety.

69 And there shall be gathered unto it out of every nation under heaven; and it shall be the only people that shall not be at war one with another.

70 And it shall be said among the wicked: Let us not go up to battle against Zion, for the inhabitants of Zion are terrible; wherefore we cannot stand.

71 And it shall come to pass that the righteous shall be gathered out from among all nations, and shall come to Zion, singing with songs of everlasting joy…

74 For when the Lord shall appear he shall be terrible unto them, that fear may seize upon them, and they shall stand afar off and tremble.

75 And all nations shall be afraid because of the terror of the Lord, and the power of his might. Even so. Amen.

So is the Lord going to turn the tables on the wicked and in the process make this nation greater than it’s ever been… I think He is. You may remember what President Nelson said about the Lord delivering us in conference, said he:

“Now, as President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, I know that God “has all power, all wisdom, and all understanding; he comprehendeth all things, and he is a merciful Being, even unto salvation, to those who will repent and believe on his name.”

So, during times of deep distress, as when illness reaches pandemic proportions, the most natural thing for us to do is to call upon our Heavenly Father and His Son—the Master Healer—to show forth Their marvelous power to bless the people of the earth.

In my video message, I invited all to join in fasting on Sunday, March 29, 2020. Many of you may have seen the video and joined in the fast. Some may have not. Now we still need help from heaven.

So tonight, my dear brothers and sisters, in the spirit of the sons of Mosiah, who gave themselves to much fasting and prayer, and as part of our April 2020 general conference, I am calling for another worldwide fast. For all whose health may permit, let us fast, pray, and unite our faith once again. Let us prayerfully plead for relief from this global pandemic.

I invite all, including those not of our faith, to fast and pray on Good Friday, April 10, that the present pandemic may be controlled, caregivers protected, the economy strengthened, and life normalized.

How do we fast? Two meals or a period of 24 hours is customary. But you decide what would constitute a sacrifice for you, as you remember the supreme sacrifice the Savior made for you. Let us unite in pleading for healing throughout the world.

Good Friday would be the perfect day to have our Heavenly Father and His Son hear us!

Dear brothers and sisters, I express my deep love for you, along with my testimony of the divinity of the work in which we are engaged. This is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He stands at its head and directs all that we do. I know that He will respond to the pleadings of His people. I so testify in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.”

Now, even though President Nelson didn’t point directly to the forces behind the pandemic, both he and the Lord know exactlly what this is really all about. President Nelson said, “I know that He will respond to the pleadings of His people. I so testify in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.”

So, we’ve prayed for deliverance, we’ve fasted for it, Presiden Nelson says, “I know that He will respond to the pleadings of His people”. And so let us continue our pleadings and exercize our  faith in our deliverance and our deliverer, even Jesus Christ, Amen.

  1. The forces behind the pandemic hysteria and manipulation is Communist operatives. This is the same forces behind all of the riots, race conflict, etc. The scourge and judgment are upon us, yet little is being said to wake up the LDS to the awfulness of their situation.

I am astounded to see so many in the LDS Church placating to the manipulation instead of being bold and faithful to call it for what it truly is. We are bending and yielding to forces that will only reward us with more encroachments. Communism doesn’t stop until it has destroyed all remnants of freedom and religion.
